I pray for the teeth on your mouth, by Fábio de Carvalho, is an exhibition about the world of
photography. It is about the nature of photography, its materiality, its scientific character, modus
operandi, manipulation, creation and plasticity, made possible during the photographic processing
and settling of the installation. From digital to analogue, from the two-dimensionality of the
printed film to the three-dimensionality of the exhibition room, I pray for the teeth on your mouth
is a remembrance of photography’s limits, the conquest of an exhibiting space and the unconcerned
point of view with themes, genres and entrenched stories.
